When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember.

What do you have for pets?
I have a 6-year-old yellow Labrador, Sailor.

What little-known fact about you would surprise clients and maybe co-workers?
I grew up in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School in 1967. Every year I take a team to the Dominican Republic and run a spay/neuter clinic.

What is your favorite part about your job?
I love knowing that I can help to heal sick and injured pets and of course, the best part of my days are spent hugging my patients.

In your opinion, what animals are the most understood?
Cats, they certainly have a mind of their own.

How can we help reduce their anxiety at the veterinary office?
